Reading CAMRA Beer and Cider Festival

As published earlier in the year, the 2021 Reading CAMRA Beer & Cider Festival will not be going ahead on the May bank holiday weekend. The organising team had looked at ideas to run a smaller festival later in the summer but unfortunately, for a variety of reasons, this will not be possible.

The 2022 festival is currently TBD.

We know there will be some disappointment that this is the second year without the Reading CAMRA Beer & Cider Festival but as Reading’s pubs start to open up there are options; please take an extra day off work for your reunion, company team building outing or annual excursion into Reading to enjoy being back in the pub. As hospitality starts to reopen, please support your local pub; they need you more than ever.

With a lot of businesses having to operate and survive during this period, many pubs and breweries are feeling the strain.

If you would like to support your local whilst you self-isolate, perhaps you might consider stocking up with many of them directly?

Our friends at the Bracknell Beer and Cider festival have put together a great list to help you support your local bars and breweries during this time:

Volunteer at the 2022 Festival

The festival is built and run by our dedicated volunteers from the ground up!

There are many benefits that our volunteers enjoy, as long as you’re volunteering for two shifts or more, as well as free entry to as many sessions as you’d like while the festival is open, you’ll also be able to drink for free (within reason) whilst you’re working and will get vouchers towards the cost of food at the site. If the role you’re doing means you can’t drink ‘on duty’, you’ll get drink tokens to use later!
